Family History

Lying on the south-eastern side of the church building this slab covered grave, despite its apparent covering of incised inscription, remains a mystery to the enquirer.
Time and weather has affected the face of the stone to a degree whereby the deciphering of the inscription is impossible, but tantalizingly appears to have originally contained a full account of the deceased’s particulars.

By appearance and design the gravestone appears to have been laid sometime in the 17th or 18th century.
