Family History

This stone, in common with many similar ones found in the same vicinity of the kirkyard, has suffered from the ravages of time.

Close inspection reveals traces of lettering with accompanying elaborate scrollwork, which would indicate that it was commissioned by a person of substance.

Unfortunately the local whinstone from which it is made is sufficiently worn as to obliterate any identifying information, including the names of the interred parties.
