This slab stone discovered under gravel on the south side of the church has undoubtedly been used as part of a path constructed in the area concerned.

Displaying the name J. Reid, and no other details, has denied the identification of the person commemorated. No date or other indication has been added to the stone to assist in this task.

Some primitive and gratuitous scratched initials are to be seen immediately below the name but are of no significance to the original inscription.
